The Bureau of Meteorology says Gippsland, in south-east Victoria, is likely to have another dry summer.

Parts of South Gippsland are still getting good rainfall, but dry conditions are having an impact in central and East Gippsland, and the Latrobe Valley.

The drought is entering it's 12th year, and David Jones from the bureau says there is no end in sight.

He says climate change is already having an impact.

"We haven't really seen drought like this before, so climate change really does raise itself here, the clearest thing we can say here about drought and climate change is it's a very hot drought, it's about a degree warmer than we've seen in any previous drought, and that is climate change, it's a global warming signal," he said.
